Qveer NoEgo impressions and FR graph - YU9 Que's cousin that's also talented

Bought the NoEgo for $315 during the early bird discount period on Taobao. Retail price is $400. It's a dual DD IEM that barely requires power to listen at higher volumes (about 14% when using DDHifi TC44Pro on Windows). But the NoEgo took a week to create as it's made to order.

After listening to the NoEgo for a few hours, the sound signature reminded me of YU9 Que, balanced yet engaging. Punches well above its price tag based on the config and overall tuning.

Bass is well textured, deep and impactful although it favors a bit more on the midbass than sub. Midrange sounds full, natural and slightly forward. Treble sounds clear, smooth yet detailed especially for a dual DD. It's got good soundstage, separation and isn't fatiguing.

A big improvement over the Qveer Rhapsody due to better ergonomics and a lot less sibilance. Accessories ootb are good, got 4 sets of eartips, zip case & microfiber cloth. I found the IE45 tips most comfy. The cable comes with the 3 modular audio jacks but I requested Qveer to make it only 4.4mm for my convenience.

Few nitpicks: have the bass more balanced between mid and sub. The lack of the small cleaning brush tool and silical gel, especially for those living in humid countries.

Zuo Drumstring Phanta Impressions + FR graph - Looks prettier than it sounds

Judging by the title is the Phanta bad? Not really, it does the job as advertised: sounds warm, full bodied and relaxing. Although, I found it too relaxing for my taste and felt that it's tuned too safe for its price. But at least it ain't another Harman sounding IEM, so I'll give credit to Zuo for that part.

If you want an IEM that's very colored and musical, get the Sound Rhyme SR5S instead. It's cheaper than the Phanta and have better accessories ootb.

I bought the Phanta for around $175 during the AliExpress summer sale. The fit and comfort is good, found the blue stock tips to be best suited for my ears. Accessories could be better as it lacks microfiber cloth and a cleaning brush tool. Also, it only comes with a 4.4mm jack, so those wanting 3.5mm/type-c are SOL.

The Phanta scales well at higher volumes and still sounds very natural, so good job on that Zuo. Bass doesn't favor the sub or midbass, well balanced with good texture, impact and decay. Despite the bass bleed, it doesn't ruin the midrange and instead helps the midrange sound warm and full bodied especially the vocals. Treble is smooth and not sibilant, not much else to say lol. The driver config is 3dd: 2dd for the bass and 1dd for the mids and highs.

Recommendation? Buy the Phanta if you want to collect pretty IEMs or a palate cleanser from listening to flat/clinical IEMs. Hope this helps.
