The stock on-device UI barely uses the keyboard, so I wrote one from scratch and kept the Meshtastic engine 100% stock (in-process over the same protobuf API the phone app uses — not a fork).

Boots into a recent-chats list: pick a contact, type, hit enter. DMs (PKI) + channels, delivery status, contact search, favourites (beep + LED), types + renders Cyrillic and emoji.
