So I wired in a generator 50amp plug to the outside of my house, added a 50amp breaker to the top right of the panel, used 6/3 wiring. Making sure that this all looks fine. And yes I have added the interlock kit to the panel door, so in order to turn the breaker on you have to turn the main off and vice versa. Thanks for your insights and opinions.
