Castlefest Friday - to the man who helped me up after I fell
This might be a bit of a long shot, but on Friday at Castlefest I had a slightly embarrassing encounter that has stayed on my mind.
I fell while holding a drink and somehow managed to get most of it in my face and eyes. I was sitting there trying to figure out what had just happened, couldn't really open my eyes, and wasn't even sure if I could stand up yet.
A man came over and asked me (in English) if I was okay and whether I could stand. When I said I didn't know, he asked if I needed help. I said yes, held out my hand (still unable to see anything 😅), and he pulled me back up.
He checked on me once more afterwards, but because I still couldn't open my eyes, I never actually got to see who had helped me. By the time I'd managed to clean my face and could see again, he was gone.
My niece later told me a little about what you looked like, which admittedly made me even more curious about the person behind the voice and the helping hand. 😏
I mostly just wish I'd been able to properly thank you for helping me. But I'll admit the encounter has crossed my mind a few times since, so… Reddit, why not.
