Black Boxes Downtown?

What are these? I see them all over downtown. They blow hot air out of their ventilation holes year-round. I'm guessing it's something that has to do with either the sewer system or underground utility lines? This one is at Walnut and Pacific on the southeast corner.

Riverfront visiting astrometer

I was walking through riverfront Park last night around 10:00 on my way home from work down the Howard Street promenade and spotted this guy with his giant fancy telescope. He's from Pennsylvania and will be here for about 2 weeks. Offering free telescope views. He was set up by the blue bridge.

Man in blue was talking to him.

Stuck Amtrak?

I saw an Amtrak train's front engine parked at the Browne Street Viaduct when I went through it, southward around 1:30, to get to a PT appointment. When I was on my way home, it appeared the same Amtrak train was still there. The last passenger train I rode on was in Ireland when I was 11—that was in 2004. I've always heard the passenger trains in Spokane run through at around 3 a.m., but why would one be here 11 or so hours late?

Does 4E Cognitive Theory function as an Aufhebung?

I was looking up the most concurrent Philosophical theories, and came across 4E Cognitive Theory and some others. I was somewhat familiar with the concept. As I understand it, it's an attempt to blend Heidegger's mitsein with neuro-epistemology. Does this conflate Hegelian phenomenalogy in the sense through the requirements of engagement in the embodied individual through being embedded in their physical environment; so, the extended nature or narrative would have to be the antithesis and subsequent synthesis is the conscious control? Am I understanding the ethos correctly?
