I've asked a similar question here, but while I thought I understood then, I've got more questions now. I've got an alcove shower, I'm about to install the Wedi board (or similar) to the alcove walls. For the outside corners, do I run the Wedi out to to the outside corner, then a regular drywall corner bead? At this point, the tile will not be extended to the corner but will terminate a few inches from the corner. I want the painted outside wall to wrap around the corner to the inside face and meet the tile. I've read that Wedi can be painted, or skim coated then painted. Is this my best option?
