Considering semi glutide
Hi!
So a little backstory- I (female,30) was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 20 and tried metformin for a short while in combination with birth control but I stopped after around a year because I didn’t notice any changes and felt really hormonal. Then from 22-28 I honestly felt great and had regular periods and my weight was managed (I was happy with my body and my life). At 28 my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and I became her caretaker. She’s my best friend and it’s really hard to see her sick. Since then my cortisol has spiked like crazy and I have packed on probably around 40 pounds in 2 years without diet change. My period has also become very inconsistent. The last time I had a major weight gain like this without diet change was right before I was diagnosed with PCOS and was in a years long abusive relationship. Anyways, I am considering wegovy pills since I am scared to go compounded and they are fairly priced. But my question is : are they worth it? Is it safe/what side effects can I expect, how much weight have you lost on them and how long did that take and most importantly did you feel better and did it help with consistent periods? Also, is it easy to get a prescription for it? Thank you!!!
