I have been in PAYE for 9 years, all counting towards PSLF. I recertified for the first time since 2020 recently and no longer have a partial financial hardship, so my payment is now the capped amount.

Since my payments went up, the payments are not counting as qualifying payments on studentaid.gov (July-Sept 2026). I have called my servicer Edfinancial and confirmed I am still on PAYE and should be making qualifying payments. I have submitted another ECF since making these payments which was approved. They say it’s a studentaid.gov issue, but everything I have seen on Reddit say the issues are limited to July and August. Is anyone else in this situation? Thank you!

I know I am not the only one this is happening to. I have Edfinancial, I applied for recertification of my IDR plan (have always been on PAYE) but I no longer have a partial financial hardship. I knew this would be the case and expect to have my payment set at the standard 10 year amount. I have 17 payment sleft.

I received a letter from Edfinancial saying I was denied IDR because my income was too high, but now my payment due shows $0.00. I do not want to lose months to forbearance or whatever they are doing in the meantime. What should I do?
