Can I sleep in a car (SUV) in the German Stellplätze?
Hello everyone, I’m doing a 17 day road trip in central and southern Germany this coming September. I’m planning on renting an SUV and using Germany’s extensive network of Stellplätze to “car camp”. Is it allowed to sleep in a car in a Stellplatz? Does anyone have experience doing that? Or must you have a camper van or RV? I’m traveling solo and don’t want to pay for a camper van.
