Preply's tutor absence policies are crazy

So a coulpe of months ago I had a studend book a trial lesson and not show up. Weirdly common thing but hey, if they want to burn their money, that's on them.

However, the student marked me as absent in order to reschedule their missed class - which they did, to the next day. (I obviously blocked them, my first student blocked yay!!)

Queue panic attack, queue angrily talking to the poor folks at the preply help center and I managed to get everything sorted out.

Today, first class of the day. I punctually log in and wait for my student. Then I get a message from him telling me he's logged in and waiting for me. I reply, saying that I am also waiting for him, but he never sees the message. He assumes I had some personal problem - pretty nice student, has been with me for a while - and asks me to get in touch and reschedule. I reply with a date we could reschedule to, since we had already lost too much time, but he doesnt see that either. I get on with my day.

I did however tell the useless preply ai thingy about this, to know what to do.

So now, after the very last class of the day, goddamn Preply tells me that my profile has been blocked because I missed a class.

Queue angry chat, queue issue solved again.

I dont think the student is at fault here this time. He probably didnt know he would block my profile and from his side, it did look like I'd just disappeared.

My issue is: Punishements cannot be handled automatically. If I accuse someone of stealing my wallet, the person doesnt immediately go to jail - rather they get sued and have a chance to prove themselves. The fact that I could solve the problem easily is irrelevant - I still had to, even though it was an error by preply.
