Cho Yi-hyun (Choi Nam-ra) — All of Us Are Dead
I’ve been really interested in Cho Yi-hyun, who played Choi Nam-ra in All of Us Are Dead, so I wanted to learn more about her life and career.
Cho Yi-hyun was born on December 8, 1999, in South Korea. She made her acting debut in 2017 and later appeared in several dramas, including Hospital Playlist, School 2021, The Matchmakers, and Head Over Heels. However, her role as Choi Nam-ra in All of Us Are Dead brought her much wider international recognition.
I especially liked how she portrayed Nam-ra’s character. At first, Nam-ra is quiet, reserved, and emotionally distant, but throughout the story she becomes much closer to her classmates. After being bitten, she becomes a half-zombie while still maintaining her human consciousness, which makes her one of the most interesting characters in the series.
I also found it interesting that Cho Yi-hyun had to prepare physically for the role and learn specific movements to portray Nam-ra’s transformation convincingly.
She has also received recognition for her acting. She was nominated for Best New Actress at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards for All of Us Are Dead.
