got back into the game again and I need some tips

Hello!

So I got back into the game after a while. I’ve already looked at some guides to get back on track and hunted a few deer to remember the mechanics. But I remembered why I left the game in the first place, it is agonizingly slow!

I like it, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes it is too much. I play on ps5 so no mods for me, but is there a way to make the game “easy mode”? I have the basic maps that come with the game, the only dlc I’ve got is the savanna ledge because I wanted to have one of each animal and it is big enough, but I am not opposed to buying a map or two.

I’ve heard silver ridges is nice. Any help, please? Also general hunting tips would be nice, I’m using the correct weapons and hitting vital points (checked so in the trophy screen) bur animals run a lot and I end up chasing them for 20min.

Issue with lines getting tangled

I used to fish 15 years ago so I remember the very basics, like how to tie knots, baits, how to cast… I went fishing with two friends that never fished in their life to have a chat and such, basically for fun.

I had three rods, a 4m one, a 2.5m and a little 1.5m. We weren’t expecting to fish, but we actually couldn’t cast at all because the lines kept getting tangled. I had to cut one before even starting and I tried to disarm the line thing (sorry, don’t know the name fir this in English) to put it back together, to no avail. It hapenned to all our rods.

The rods are oldish, we used them when I was little and went fishing with my father, but he used them maybe a year ago or so and they were fine.

I understand that everybody faces these problems, but I feel discouraged because it was not as fun as expected because of the constant tangles.

If anybody has any tips that do not involve buying more tack, it is appreciated.

I’m stressing just thinking about detangling everything tomorrow lol.

Gracias.

I’m unsure about starting to fish

Hello!

I am looking for ways to get out of the house alone more. I am 25 and I recently fucked up my ankle and I have a hard time walking in summer when it’s hot. My go to hobby to get out is birdwatching, but to get to good spots I have to walk a lot and it is giving me issues with my ankle, so I go to places where I can sit down but I grow bored easily.

When I was little, I used to go fishing with my grandfather and brothers, and sometimes my father. I was like 10 and, of course, I found it boring and I was in my “iugh this is boy’s stuff” era.

I have the materials, if I ask my grandpa he will have a rod for me and lures, I will only have to buy bait so it is zero investment really, the thing that eats at me a bit is, sadly, safety.

I can ask grandpa for spots and he will tell me some and refresh me a bit, he might even want to come with me a couple of times and that’s fine, but I never went alone and I am worried that, if I go very early in the morning, other people will be there and I will feel uneasy.

The thought of just going to water and staying there for a couple hours with some beer, cigs and a good book is really calling me, and it will allow me to get out and to not put more pressure in my ankle. I do not live in an unsafe country per se, I am Spanish.

Can anybody tell me some pointers to feel more at ease? Thank you.
