So, I‘ve started writing a fic set in the First World War (specifically the Western Front) and I’m already finding it hard to keep it fairly accurate. My experience on the topic basically extends to children’s history books, some movies and museums, and historical inacuraccies really annoy me. I understand I can’t be perfectly correct about everything, so what are some mistakes (even in any wartime/historical fics in general) I should avoid? Or some good resources? Sorry if this is too specific ^-^
