Tomorrow!

It's happening! I'm so nervous about the anesthesia and possible nausea and restricted movement and pain that I think I'm forgetting to be excited. 🥴

Here's to no more binding (eventually)! 🎉

Recovery food and activity

Hi! Thank you all for sharing your experiences here, it's been so helpful as I've been on this journey.

My surgery is in a few weeks. It'll be a radical reduction, keeping the nipple stalk intact.

I'm doing all my prep and wondering about a few things post-op:

I know salty foods are not ideal for healing. I'm mostly vegetarian and I have some food allergies but they're manageable.

Any tips for high protein foods for post op? I plan on lots of smoothies but I'm sure I'll need other things, too.

Anything you recommend prepping and freezing ahead of time?

It's hot af here so I'm thinking I won't really want soups or things like that but maybe I'll be so out of it I won't care? Lol

Will I be able to wash dishes after the initial few days? Should I get some disposables?

How long until I can scoop the cat litter boxes?

How about taking out the trash / recycling?

I live alone and I have friends lined up to stay with me the whole first week.

For the second week- could I get by with just having people stop by or hang for a few hours with me? Do I need someone here 24/7?

I plan to go on lots of walks as soon as I'm able to keep blood flow moving and to get fresh air. How soon will I be okay to go walk on my own?

Anything else along these lines that I should consider?

Ty!!

Radical reduction

Hi! I am booked for surgery and decided on radical reduction based on hoping to preserve nipple sensation. For a few other reasons, I'm feeling like this will work for me.

Has anyone, esp if you're chubby, had this vs full flat? I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to share how their chest looks post-op or healed.

I'm like a C on one side B on the other. 5'3, 205 lbs but muscular

I think the radical reduction will fit my body but I do worry about it still just looking like bewbs. The surgeon said he could get rid of 80% of them this way

TY!
