I’m a freshman English major looking to add one more class to my schedule this semester that’s either an English related elective or another kind of elective that would be beneficial. Is the creative writing class a bad idea to take as someone who’s only English college level experience is AP classes? Are there any other elective courses that won’t require too much extra time/effort I should take instead?

I’m a freshman planning on taking Intro to public health and there is a recommended textbook called Public Health 101 Improving Community Health. It is not required but recommended and costs 70$. Should I buy it used, find a pdf or just not get it at all?
