Can anyone assist me in my attempt at finding out who my online stalker/harasser is?
I started receiving disturbing messages on Instagram where they said they worked with me and would smell my shoes during shifts. The messages were of them asking for used socks and they continually escalated with their language and requests, offering money etc.i first took this to the police and they didn't take it seriously.
They're using a fake Instagram name and account
When they offered to reveal their identity I gave in and responded. The conversation went in circles so I made a fake email address and asked them to send money to it in an attempt to get their real name through the e transfer. Unfortunately they've used a nickname on the e-transfer so I can't see their legal name, but I was given the email address they're using for their fake Instagram account when the e transfer email was sent
When I entered that email address and clicked forgot password I got the last digits of their phone number
If anyone can provide any advice or help I would be really appreciative, all of the reverse email tools I've tried don't work and I'm not versed in this field well enough to know what to search so I'm hoping for some answers here
Are there any ways to use this email address or am I out of luck
I know the police will take 2- 6 months to reveal anything so I was hoping there could be a faster way
