Should I move to Monterrey?
I am a Canadian 32 year old male. I have Permenant residency in México I’ve been here for the last 7 years. I speak really good Spanish, been studying for the last 9 years.
I don’t have a university title, I preferred to travel when I was younger and eventually ended up living in a tourist town in México and working in tourism for many years.
now I am married and have a baby, my wife is originally from Monterrey. she wants to move home so we can be closer to her family. I have some money saved up so I should be able to survive atleast a year without working.
mg question is, is it a good idea for me to move to Monterrey? will I be received well in the work force? i guess I would search for a job that requires English but I don’t know exactly what to look for. maybe something that allows me to work back and forth between Monterrey and Texas.
Im just debating whether or not we should make the move to Monterrey. I’ve travelled there 6 times and I do enjoy the culture and the food is amazing. and el acento regio is my favorite Spanish accent.
