Someone offered me water but it was spiked with GHB
It was Saturday morning at the Extravaganza stage and I had just asked my friend for some water. Few minutes after, a guy from the group next to us came up to me and offered me water. I asked twice to make sure it is only water, and he said so - but my fault for trusting in this case, I should have known better but in the moment with the sun coming out, I was just thirsty and hot.
I thankfully noticed a brown smear on the rim when I put it in my mouth, and spat out the water again and gave it back. My mind was racing and I felt unsafe, but didnt say anything back aside from thank you. I kept thinking maybe I misunderstood him, but then his friend came by and asked “did it work?” and he commented back that “she only took a small sip” and they laughed together “oh well microdose then”.. I really couldn’t believe it - it was all on purpose where he tried to spike me deliberately. They then continued to pass bad comments about me, my dancing and my body for some minutes
Thankfully I only had a very mild effect but I couldnt shake it off for the rest of the festival as it could have been so much worse.. i feared for my safety any time I was alone. I really didnt expect this out of a fusion crowd and community, but I wanted to share my experience as a harsh reminder not to trust anyone sadly, so that hopefully it doesn’t happen to anyone else.
