We’re approaching the 10th day of my takeover, and I am pleased to report that our community has been growing at an incredible pace. Within a short span of time, our contributions have increased manyfold, growing from about 4,000 members to well over 10,000 members contributions.

To start off, thank you all who’ve contributed in one way or another to help grow this community.

In saying that, it is also with great pleasure that the moderator team announces a significant change for the future.

Account Trading Prohibited

From this point onwards, any posts or comments relating to buying, selling, trading, renting, valuing, or otherwise discussing accounts for Clash of Clans will be outright banned within r/COC.

Some examples include, but are not limited to:

Posts discussing purchasing and selling accounts

Posts discussing exchanging or trading accounts

Valuation posts, price checking posts

Renting your account to others for cash

Offering boosting and recovery services

Advertising marketplace services for trading accounts

Discord, Telegram and other third-party platforms meant to trade accounts

Direct message facilitation for such trades

These types of posts or comments will not only be removed but can potentially be grounds for temporary/permanent bans.

Why the Change?

In the last couple of days, there has been an increase in the number of scammers, scams, and irrelevant posts in relation to account trading on the forum. It is important to make sure that the discussion here focuses on topics of interest to the wider Clash of Clans community.

Looking Ahead

Our vision is still to create a positive, thriving, and fun environment for all of our community members. In case you come across any rule violation in any form whatsoever, please report such posts.
