Travel during STEM OPT

Hi all, I am currently in my first year of STEM OPT working for a government agency. I have an active F1 visa that is expiring in January 2027. I want to travel to my country at the end of 2026, for 2 weeks max. However, I am concerned given the current approach of the administration.

I have no misdemeanor or criminal record, nor any record of any immigration violation or lapse. I have around 1.5 weeks of paid authorized leave saved up under my belt and should have 2 weeks saved up soon. Still, I am checking to see if anyone in a similar position recently travelled and what your experience was. Any advice is also appreciated?

Looking for recommendation of Law firms specializing on family based I-485 and I-130

Hi everyone,

I currently work as an engineer for a state government agency and am in my first year of STEM OPT. I expect to marry my partner, who is a U.S. citizen, by the end of this year.

We were introduced through our families in early 2025. Our relationship was somewhat on and off at first, but we recently made a mutual decision to get married. Because we live in different states and have only met in person a couple times, I am concerned that our case may be more complicated than usual. Due to our respective job commitments, we may also need to continue living in separate states for some time after the marriage.

Given these circumstances, I am considering hiring attorney to help us prepare and file the marriage-based adjustment of status application, including Form I-485. I would appreciate recommendations for credible and experienced immigration law firms.

I would also be grateful to hear from anyone who was approved for a marriage-based i-485 while living in a different states. In particular, it would be helpful to learn about the evidence you submitted and your interview experience.

Being proactive as I realize USCIS processing can take longer than expected and I do not want any lapse later just because of tardiness in filing my application.

Thank you in advance.

Hello all, looking for advice for getting started in my PMP certification journey. I am an EIT on track to PE. I do have 3 years of work experience in my field but not as a project manager. I would like to know, what can be the most efficient way for me to get PMP. Ideally, I would like to have it on hand by the time I get my PE (still 2 years training to go). Thanks!
