I used to work at a restaurant in London and had 30 hours worth of holidays pending to be paid for when I resigned. These were holidays being carried forward from the previous year which I couldn't utilise because my manager was away for his wedding and wanted me to cover for him. Now when I'm done working there, I reached out to the manager to ask them about my holidays balance and they refused to pay for it saying they were carried forward as a gesture of goodwill and cannot be paid for now that I don't work there. What can I do in this case? I have got screenshots of their WhatsApp chat where they have agreed for these balance hours to be carried forward and also denied to pay these now. Any suggestions my hospitality fam!🫠
