Need some tips for me parrot

I say parrot, but because his size he's more of a periquete.

I'm from Venezuela, and after the disaster of 2 weeks ago this little guy found us and refused to leave. He's been with us for 3 days, and everything seems to indicate he was a pet before, he's waaaaay too familiar with humans and very gentle even when scared.

He literally flew to my sister's head and refused to leave her, even when her apartment has a windowless window. She took him to our parents' home and he's apparently here to stay, since we haven't found any owner yet. We plan a visit to the vet tomorrow, since we don't know how long he's been lost or how to take care of him properly, but I'd really appreciate it if you could give me some pointers???

I don't know the name in English, but in Spanish he's a "cara sucia" Eupsittula pertinax is the scientific name according to Google.
