Cancer timeline and symptoms question

Hello all! Right to it. I've got a character who is diagnosed with late stage prostate cancer that has spread to his liver, lungs, and brain. He has no intention to go to treatment. I've tried to research what his timeline is but it's difficult to get a straight answer. I'm looking for him to survive 2/3 months after he received his diagnosis but I can adjust the timeline and/or how far the cancer has spread to make it more realistic.

I'm also curious what kind of symptoms he would experience from this, especially since he is not seeking treatment. I have some notes about this but am looking for help from someone a little more versed in this subject to point me in a more accurate direction. Thanks in advance!

How old and price range of this trunk (USA)

It isn't in the best condition but could probably be refurbished. No makers mark. Made of wood and metal. Tiny wheels on the bottom that don't actually roll anymore. The cute little fox thing is inside the lid. I'm in the USA, midwest

(Cincinnati, OH) Security Deposit BS

Shocker, I'm sure, that my old rental company is pulling some shit with my security deposit and final account notice. The company is based out of Florida, if that changes anything.

Really, my biggest question here is about itemized lists and receipts. Are they required to proved both of these? If so, is there a law/ordinance I can quote?

We received less than a third of our security deposit back (about $515), and a final account statement including a near $600 charge for cleaning and carpet cleaning. Our lease stated we would be charged for professional carpet cleaning and cleaning if we didn't provide receipts. I didn't get that done and understand I'll probably have to pay for it, but there is NO WAY IN HELL they had the place carpet cleaned before we arrived. If they aren't able to provide receipts for that so I have room to argue?

I have video of the place when we first arrived to show what is wrong, as well as when I was walking out the door for the last time. I'm confident we should have more of our SD back and our final account statement shouldn't be so high, but the response I just got from someone at the company says it's fine, but provided no documentation of what money was spent on.

Our lease also states that we must provide receipts of professional pest removal upon move out or we will be charged. We didn't do this but they don't mention it in the final account statement. Should we just go ahead and pay to keep them from adding More to the account, or is it worth fighting over?

The water/sewage/prorated rent aren't things I'm disagreeing with. And the unaccounted for $1,000 for the final statement is an error and being removed. Happy to answer more questions if needed, thank you!!
