reWASD 9.4.1 is now available

It may be a small release, but it is an important one. This update is about stability - one of the fundamental things users expect from the product they choose.

Unfortunately, decisions and changes introduced by third parties can sometimes affect how our users experience reWASD and the way they like to play. Whether we like it or not, this has become part of the environment we operate in. It means that we sometimes have to return to the same kind of compatibility issues again and again (thank you EA).

For our part, we do everything we can to adapt to these changes, restore compatibility, and make sure users don't have to choose between reWASD and the games they want to play.

Version 9.4.1 resolves compatibility issues affecting several recently updated games, but it is not limited to that.

We have also completed a major round of internal optimization. During this work, we identified and fixed several issues that were slowing down the application and affecting GUI stability. As a result, reWASD should now feel faster, more responsive, and more comfortable to use across different use cases.

This is still a service release, but we're cooking up much more. In a few weeks, we'll release a larger update with support for new devices - the new generation of Steam Controller is coming. We aim to provide full support, and the work is now in its final stage, so get ready to expand your experience. A new Advanced feature is also coming, but more on that later.

We also want to shed a little more light on what we're working on. Again, without spoilers, but we want reWASD to grow and expand. So, what can we say? Just get ready for new formats and opportunities. We believe we'll be able to announce more quite soon, so stay tuned.

Thank you for your support and for staying with the reWASD team.

Regarding Issues with reWASD Online Services

Yesterday, some reWASD online services were temporarily unavailable, affecting account authorization, purchases, and access to several online features.

Like many online platforms, we constantly deal with malicious attempts to disrupt our services. We continuously improve our infrastructure and protection mechanisms to minimize their impact. Most of the time, these attempts go completely unnoticed because our protection systems stop them before they can affect our services or users. Unfortunately, yesterday's disruption was one of the rare occasions when the impact became visible.

The issue has now been resolved, and everything is back online.

We're sorry for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience while we worked to restore the services.

As always, if you have any questions or issues related to reWASD, we are happy to help.

GTA VI preorders are open, and we are getting ready too..!

Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!

Okay, this is a post about excitement... and a little bit of nostalgia.

Should we even say it? GTA VI pre-orders are finally live, and yes - here at reWASD, we've already circled November 19 on the calendar.

Like everyone else, we're counting down the days until our next trip to Vice City.

Here's what we know so far:
- stunning graphics,
- what looks like an incredible open world,
- and a console launch first.

Yes, GTA VI is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while PC players will have to wait for who knows how long.

But that doesn't mean keyboard-and-mouse players have nothing to prepare.

If keyboard and mouse is your weapon of choice, now is the perfect time to get your setup ready.

With reWASD and PS Remote Play, you'll have more than one way to jump into Vice City when launch day arrives.

And don't forget about our ESP32-S2/S3 adapter - it lets you connect directly to your console and enjoy the game with your preferred controls.

One question remains...

GTA VI will most likely require a DualSense controller on PlayStation 5... so what can reWASD do?

Let's just say... we're cooking something special for exactly that. 😉 No more spoilers. And please don't ask.

Fun fact (remember the nostalgia part?): when GTA V launched, some of our developers rushed home from school with their backpacks still on just to play it. Now they're building reWASD so you can enjoy GTA VI the way *you* want.

So tell us:

Are you jumping into Vice City on day one, or are you waiting for the PC release?
