Ngl, they got me excited for a second...
So I noticed two likes on my recent track this morning, and I was thrilled bc it happened to be from two major labels (>1k followers) that release music of genres that I'm actually producing in. Just to be immediately psy-slammed through a table by the fact that the song did not get played and the likes weren't even actually there. It's (still) showing up in my notifications tho.
I'm used to this like/no play behaviour by random bots but these aren't bots... is it just a new method of spamming me (without messaging me directly) to check their content? BC I did go and check their profiles. Since the likes were somewhat closeby (two hours in between) they were prob maintained by the same guy at that time that went around and insta-like-unlike songs with certain hashtags.
Anyone else experience a similar thing ? Yes, I did not name the labels bc tha's prob not allowed and I don't want them to get harassed, lol, even though it's kinda dickish what they did to me...
