It says that the upcoming half term is to be as busy as the week before and after it. Surely that can't be correct. Also when does it start getting busy through the week, specifically Thursday/Friday?

Just looking to put my idea out into the world and maybe have some people give me some feedback on whether it seems realistic.
Planning on hitting Alton towers potentially in the next 3 or 4 weeks, with the idea of going before it gets proper busy. Was thinking about going, my me and my 11-year-old, on Thursday and Friday. Think they still do 2-day tickets?
It's a bit of a journey for us so going for 2 days just to make it worth the trip, want to hit the Thursday because I think they're a lot quieter. I ideally don't want to have to buy any fastpass just to save some money, but at the same time I don't really want to queue for more than half an hour, does that seem reasonable on a Thursday? Will likely be in the park the full day.
