Is there any chance Leagues Cup gets moved to Soldier Field?

With the Lewandowski signing interest in attending games has skyrocketed. The Fire play one of the most popular Mexican teams in Cruz Azul. Do you think they try to move it to the bigger venue?

Also I don’t trust Bridgeview to deal with a full stadium. We saw this last year with Son’s debut and they’ve had issues with concerts this summer as well.

Is Bruce Arena really that much better of a coach than Greg?

Greg and Bruce were signed by the Fire & Earthquakes at the same time respectively. The Fire had just finished as the worst team in the East with 30 points and the Quakes were last in the West with 20 points.

1.5 years later the Fire have one of the highest payrolls in the league while the Quakes are among the lowest.

The Quakes somehow this season having one of the lowest payrolls are one of, if not the best, teams in the league playing a squad of guys that mainly came from their academy.

I think it’s interesting that while they dominate the league with their academy players we’ve basically banished all of ours to the bench.

Is Greg overthinking it?

Thinking about the game over the weekend this is a question that came across my mind.

The Fire as I see it are a poor team when it comes to penalties - on both sides of the ball. Brady for as good as he is on the field struggles even with guessing which way a PK is going let alone saving it.

The shooting side of PKs has a lot less data out there, but just going back to our PKs against the Union last year we had 2 defenders step up to take them when we had a squad full of attackers available.

Out of our entire squad there are really only 2 players you'd be comfortable with taking PKs, Hugo & Zinck and even in Hugo we've seen mishaps.

That leads to the question then, with the first round of playoffs going straight to PKs after 90 minutes, are we automatically at a disadvantage being that only 1 out of 3 outcomes suits us.
