Do you think it's time the game expands to Africa?

Afaik, not many MOBAs make a huge breakthrough in Africa, much less have a significant footprint in there. The richer North Africa gets involved in many games, and the rest of Africa feels left out. Maybe it's just my shallow observation in Africa's esports scene, but I believe Africa is a good way to expand MLBB's esports scene.

ENC26 Solidarity Slot

What nation do you think will get the solidarity slot?

After the qualifiers, teams who have not qualified can petition for the solidarity slot. It has only one requirement: a nation must have at least one (1) title to compete in. National teams can only apply to one game; a game they're strongest in. The committee will review the applications based on the region's competitiveness and their regional strength. All games except CS2 offer solidarity slots, so teams can pick one out of 15 to apply in.

ENC Closed Qualifier matchups for every region

These are the official matchups for ghe closed qualifiers for ENC26. Central and West Africa has still no posted matchups, so they're not here.

All qualifying tournaments are double eliminations.

If you've noticed, teams placed on bye positions are ranked high but below top 16.

You might also notice that some countries are too far out of their own region, especially EECA.

Teams also get points by playing in this tournament. This is an S-Tier tournament, so points are crucial here too.

Slot allotment are as follows:

WEU - 2

EECA - 2

SEA/OCE - 2

NA - 1

Latam - 1

South Asia - 1

MENA - 2

EA - 1

C&W Africa - 1

S&E Africa - 1

Wildcards - 2 (supposed to be 1 WC and host country, but KSA is part of top 16, so 2 WCs instead)

Coach Panda to coach team Korea for ENC

Most of the team played in Feiyun Esports, who represented Korea in MCT EA Shanghai.

Korea, currently world's number 35, is set to play in the East Asia qualifiers with Japan and Hongkong.

Some bandwagon fans piss me off

I've seen comments saying like, they won't watch MPL PH anymore, since all the good ones retired already. Like, I get it. Some of you played because of Blacklist and Veewise, but why would you say no one is good?

I personally think the old heads should retire at some point. It's good to foster new talents and cater to young people who actually have skills. I mean, look at Zauregoist. 16 y.o. and crushing teams and players who have more experience than him. And experience is what shapes a legend. I've seen Karl struggle a few seasons before winning it all with Bren. I've seen PH's first champions retire and the young ones take over. But through it all, we're still strong. We're still pretty fucking terrifying.

Just because your legend retired doesn't mean the entire league became weaker. We're still good. We're just seeing new names and hopefuls carve their own paths.

ENC Rakings after MSC

MAJOR changes in the ENC rankings post-MSC. The August 1 rankings might be the final 16 for ENC this November.

Btw, slight correction regarding my old post: teams don't divide the points equally; ALL OF THEM get the same amount of points.

- Malaysia edges out Argentina at 16th place by 50 points, courtesy of Zqeef.

- Myanmar overtakes Türkiye for 3rd place.

- Germany gets a huge ranking boost, propelling to 6th place, after Kidbomba and TS won MSC.

- Poland is now no. 18 because of Pagu, edging out ALL of Vietnam (see how insane the number of points you get in S-Tier tournaments?)

- China overtakes Mongolia after Modi having a better run than The Huns Esports (yes, I'm instigating a China vs Mongolia rivalry)

- Saudi Arabia is now above Egypt after FLCN MENA having a more successful run than Geekay

This is the tentative list of national teams that will get a direct invite for ENC:

  1. 🇵🇭 Philippines (MCT SEA)

  2. 🇮🇩 Indonesia (MCT SEA)

  3. 🇲🇲 Myanmar (MCT SEA)

  4. 🇹🇷 Türkiye (MCT EMEA)

  5. 🇰🇭 Cambodia (MCT SEA)

  6. 🇩🇪 Germany (MCT EMEA/MCT EECA)

  7. 🇸🇬 Singapore (MCT SEA)

  8. 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia (MCT EMEA)

  9. 🇪🇬 Egypt (MCT EMEA)

  10. 🇨🇳 China (MCT EA)

  11. 🇲🇳 Mongolia (MCT EA)

  12. 🇧🇷 Brazil (MCT AMER)

  13. 🇮🇳 India (No region yet)

  14. 🇺🇸 United States (MCT AMER)

  15. 🇨🇦 Canada (MCT AMER)

  16. 🇲🇾 Malaysia (MCT SEA)

All the other teams outside the top 16 will compete through qualifiers for the remaining 16 slots for ENC.

P. S. If Russia is allowed to join, based on their best performers, they'd place 3rd, with a total of 6,900 points.

TS vs YG: What's at stake?

Now that we have our finalists from Russia and Myanmar, tomorrow will set a record for their first ever international trophy. For Team Spirit, this was a plan built from 7 years' worth of failures, heartbreaks, frustrations, and lack of support. For Yangon Galacticos, it is a matter of national pride, closing out what Burmese Ghouls left back in M2. But it's not just that. What's really at stake here?

For Team Spirit, the entire West now looks at them. A consistent fourth placer and having deep runs, an MSC trophy in their cabinet will solidify their status in MLBB and give hope to the West that winning is possible.

For YG, this is a revenge match. Last M7, TS sent them home with a sweep. The year before that, TS sent Falcon Esports home too, 3-1. For most of their encounters, Myanmar has never won against Russia. This is their final challenge to finally bury their losses.

This time, there are a few changes to their lineups. Zaur replaced Oneshot, Kaize over Lina, and Sanji, loaned from FCON, who was also part of the M6 squad that TS eliminated, now took the helm against Hiko. TS is ready to fight to claim the West's first MSC trophy, while YG is now at the edge of Burmese history to win it for them.

How MSC can affect ENC Top 16

Photo is top 32 to include other countries.

ENC rankings are influenced by tournaments each club joins. It calculates the total points of the submitted rosters by national teams, and points won per tournament are divided equally among players.

Since all 16 teams are given points, the 13th-16th placers are guaranteed 50 points, divided equally among their players. But here's the catch: only three players from the same team can play.

Even if a team did well this MSC, if none of them plays for their national team, then the points are not counted. Best example of this is Team Vitality. If they win this, none of their points would count since no one is playing for ID in ENC.

Conversely, if ONIC ID wins all this, points get divided between Kairi and Kelra, who will play for PH, Lutpiii and Sanz, who will play for ID, and the rest of the team.

Also, the top 8 are guaranteed 200 points. This could make or break your national rankings, especially Malaysia, who is currently 17th.

For now, here are the players playing for their national teams currently playing in MSC (who still has a chance to win MSC):

🇵🇭: Flap, Supermarco, Kairi, Kelra

🇮🇩: Lutpiii, Sanz

🇹🇷: Tienzy, Sigibum, Rosa

🇲🇲: Blink, Hann, Ying

🇰🇭: Saa, Felix, PPPP

🇸🇦: Saano, Troll, Cuffin

🇨🇳: Modi

🇩🇪: Kidbomba

🇧🇷: Vaguin, Akashi

🇲🇾: Zqeef

🇵🇱: Pagu

How the EU meta works

Team Spirit and Aurora Türkiye both employed the same tactic of a double fighter side lane and a high burst assassin reminiscent of the M2 hypercarry funnel strat.

Takeaways between the two:

- Rosa seems more flexible, being able to switch between a support mid or utility mid (Valen, Zhuxin, Valir)

- one key reason TS had a harder time was an early game gold (Brody) from IG, a Ling that really hid well, and an early game spike, a few things TL lacked against AUR

- Paq and Freya are really the keys in this lineup. Any other fighter would fall short of the burst, mobility, and survivability these two offers.

- this strat will succeed if the mid lane hero has a slow movement speed.

- mid lane matchups are now more important than ever. To teams that will go up against them; draft your mid carefully.

- high sustain hero is a must (Mino, Barats, Esme) if not applicable, follow AUR and sacrifice magic dmg for sustain. Not required that hero is a fast clear type, since you're giving it to the roam or jungle anyway

- DIGGIE WILL THRIVE AGAINST THIS LINEUP (capslock so that everyone will see)

- the true danger of this strat: can either be push or teamfight oriented. Both philosophies work well with this strat.

- give up drafting a marksman against this lineup. Try picking another fighter or even a high burst mage.

- because this strat relies on Paq or Freya, PHOVEUS IS PERMABANNED (take note of this when drafting)

Anything you want to add will be welcomed. Thanks

With SRG on the lower bracket, one out of the three semifinalists last year can go home with no points

Two scenarios will allow all three semifinalists a slot back to the MSC knockouts; a.) E7 wins against ONIC, which means ONIC goes against the loser between TLPH and AUR, and b.) AUR wins against TLPH and TLPH goes against the loser between ONIC and E7.

Worst case scenario is that both ONIC and TLPH lose. In any case, PRO Esports just robbed SRG an easy path to the knockouts.

Because of that horrible performance from NAVI, they'll be facing the loser between VIT and GEN.G

Real fun, everyone. No PH this time on knockouts I'm telling you. See you next year.

I'm concerned about EWC

With how USA, Canada, and Mexico are dealing with the World Cup right now, visa issues, offloading of fans, the common airport problems for third world countries, I'm getting concerned that France will pull the same shit as these three for EWC.
