Boylston st fire station, home of engine 33 and ladder 15, Boston MA. 1911 vs now.
The building was constructed in 1887. The left side was originally a Boston police station until the 1970s when it was owned by the Institute of Contemporary Art. It was acquired by Boston Architectural College in 2007. The right side still operates as a fire station. The floor on the ladder side was lowered 7 inches to accommodate modern trucks, although apparently it's still a very tight fit.
