BOAF sets new streaming record

BOAF sets new streaming record

As of the 2-year anniversary of HMHAS, “Birds of a Feather” has become the first song in history to maintain over 2 million streams daily for 2 years straight, with its peak being 10 million in one day. Although this is definitely a more obscure milestone, it will definitely become more common with how much Spotify grows each year, so it’s nice to see that Billie got it first.

Arguments against Billie Eilish’s veganism claim and why I believe they are flawed

Hi everyone, I just wanted to list some common arguments I’ve seen against Billie Eilish in the face of the current controversy and why I believe they are flawed/invalid claims to make. For the record, I believe Billie Eilish is correct and I am not a vegan or vegetarian.

- for starters, many people think Billie is forcing them to go vegan, when in reality, all she’s claiming is you can not state that you love ALL animals and also eat meat. That’s all she’s saying.

#1 “I love my dog and I love eating chicken so YES I can do both” - loving your pet is different from loving all animals. You can love some animals but not all. I thought this was common sense but the amount of people I see saying stuff like this is ridiculous.

#2 “Humans are omnivores, we’re meant to eat meat” - Once again, Billie never denied that. Yes, as humans we are biologically able to process and consume meat. But this isn’t 30,000 years ago when meat was the only way to obtain lots of vital nutrients and protein. In today’s climate, which all the food advancements we have made, you can absolutely get everything meat provides from plants without it being a harm to your body.

#3 “it’s part of the food cycle, other animals eat meat so why shouldn’t we, its natural” - animals in the wild use their claws and fangs and biological adaptations to hunt meat. Humans don’t do that. There is nothing natural or “it’s the food cycle” about forcefully raping, abusing, torturing, and slaughtering multi billions of animals in factories every year.

#4 “you can’t be a millionaire and claim to love the planet, you can’t be ___ and claim to ____” - calling out all the other problematic/questionable things Billie has done does nothing to address the actual meat eating claims she made. This is a logical fallacy you create out of defense because you feel attacked about your morals.

#5 - “veganism is a priveleged concept, most people can not access it.” - besides the fact that most vegans aren’t millionaires or wealthy like Billie, this statement is also just objectively wrong. A vegan lifestyle is the cheapest and healthiest option there is. Yes there are exceptions like people who live in food deserts and only have access to meat, but they are such a small fraction of the population and using them as your argument is just stupid. Same thing with people who use the “indigenous people have been ethically eating meat for centuries” well I am willing to bet you aren’t indigenous, stop acting like you give a fuck about their culture now just because it benefits your argument.

#6 “Billie needs to stop blaming innocent civilians and start blaming the unethical corporations and practices” - the reasons the corporations do what they do is BECAUSE of the consumers that continuously demand and fund it. There is no ethical way for meat to be produced for billions of people worldwide.

The fact of the matter is 99.99% of the population consumes meat through the unethical practices addressed by Billie (and millions of vegans before her). Unless you are part of the tiny fragment of the population that needs meat to survive or “ethically consumes meat”, (which I’m willing to bet you are not), then you need to do some research on where the food you eat comes from. Nobody is forcing you to go vegan, nobody is forcing you to even cut down your meat consumption, but if you’re going to try and argue against a vegan claim atleast make sure what you’re saying makes sense.

I made a post two days ago listing all the reasons why I think BE4 is gonna be clover related.

Then today, with Amy Poehler, only 3 minutes in to the episode, Finneas mentions a “four leaf clover” casually in conversation. This is most definitely an Easter egg, that phrase is too arbitrary to not mean something.

I think Billie has already been dropping hints for BE4 for a long time now. This makes sense considering how she had lyrics from HMHAS pasted on her clothes in 2023.

I have a few pieces of evidence that led me to this:

- in the LUNCH music video, Billie is seen flipping through a deck of cards. This would seem meaningless but most recently in an interview, Billie writes down a “hint” to BE4 on a playing card, specifically the 4 of clubs. What if the hint was not what was the written but the card itself? 4 = BE4, and club = clover = St. Patrick’s Day. Patrick is the name of her father, and coincidentally the only family member of hers whose birthday she hasn’t released music on.

- She released her own Uno card deck, and her own perfume titled “Your Turn” in the shape of a dice.

- In her recent tea party interview done at the top of a tower, she is wearing a shirt with a clover symbol attached onto it

Might be far fetched, but I do think Billie is very thoughtful in giving hints and the fandom just isn’t as good at deciphering them yet. She is known for planning albums years in advance. I think BE4 might have something to do with luck/games/cards.

Billie confirms in her recent interview with Elle that BE4 is more than halfway complete!! Off topic but she looks absolutely stunning in that thumbnail.
