Spoilers for Bojack Horseman

I don't know if it's a common trope, but I noticed a lot of similarities between episode 9 of Lestat and the second to last episode of Bojack horseman.

Where a character dies and slowly realises he is dead through the unrealistic dialogue of people he has killed/ have died around him (or in this case became undead) and then ends up being saved in the end. It's very similar. Was this also in the books? Or is this unique to the show?

It could just be a common scenario but this is just something that came to mind. Let me know if anyone else agrees!
