We are remodeling our basement to have a traditional Moody speakeasy type theme. I have been pretty drawn to the Nero/Marfil marble checkerboard design in our bar area since the beginning, so I’m pretty well attached to it. However, it’ll cost about $8000 to tile our bar area.
I’m not against paying that much for flooring I love, but the cost is putting us at the max end of our budget which may limit our ability to make upgrades in other areas of our basement such as our bar. My other thought is to do a warm wood LVP look which would obviously save quite a bit of money. I’ve looked high and low for a marble checkerboard LVP, but can’t quite find what I’m looking for so that’s why I resorted to the tile. I’m worried to invest so much money into a part of our basement. What would you do?
Anybody have leads on some good options for laminate checkerboard flooring, that’s marbled like this? I came across this at a bar, and seemed to be laminate.
