New to ZZZ. Overwhelmed with options and little knowledge.

Hi. I am new to the game and pulled lycaon and his W engine from standard banner. I also got pyrois and piper.

I am overwhelmed with the S rank selector and upcoming banners.

If I wanted to kickstart the account and not "get a niche thing that won't work for me" what should I get? I suppose trigger but trigger does not fit with pyrois or piper from what I've seen and I dont have much else. Take lucia as an investment?

I have seen Remielle is a really good char and feels pretty premium, should I even try?

- Would she even work? I've read shes good with promeia, and I like her design but shes not coming soon I guess.

Maybe I can get Sigrid and go Sigrid - lycaon and that would boost my next few months?

Dyalin is also pretty good from what I have seen but if I get trigger/lycaon then that slot is fitted already?

I dont know, too many options and these banners do not seem easy pulls to me, or at least I dont know what I am doing.

Did I do wrong? Gov employee and contractor relationship

[EU based]

Got this new gig where I am basically supervising and requesting changes/new software, etc from a third party contractor.

We are not forbidden from writing a bit of code (and touching or owning small things) but the bulk should be done by the company tasked with it. We are responsible for taking a problem the org has, give it to the company, check the design and propose changes, check the solution provided fits the needs at all stages of development, etc. (In the end I have many many hats)

This basically works by having each month the TODOs outlined or planned so they can schedule and bill it.

Apart from the bureaucracy, they are slow per se because they are disorganized and usually not very experienced / not too proficient with the codebase and internal tools even though they have been at it for more than a year.

As usual I communicated we needed to make a change and was told they needed to schedule it and analyse the impact. Given that changing an endpoint (without impact) took them 2 weeks you can more or less guess what I am talking about.

So, given that this process is pretty slow and there was a change we needed to make as soon as possible not to block other projects. I decided to give it a try one afternoon and got half the fix done (with proper checks/tests).

So on the next meeting I went like, well, I did most of it the other day you can check it up and replicate the fix for the rest and perform the necessary checks.

  1. I feel like I should not have done that and that I am getting into their job territory.

  2. On the other hand they are too slow for the pacing we are needing right now. Either they speed up or we dont meet deadlines.

  3. Should I just let it all explode and not do anything? It is hard to do that when you care, but on the other hand if I am fixing their shit then they will not be accountable and things won't change.

  4. My manager already knows they are not the best of the bulk and we have constant talent problems.
