Just learned about seiko mods
Hey everyone I just learned of the existence of seiko mods yesterday while browsing Vinted, Ive never had a watch and wanted to get one. At first I was looking at the seiko presage cocktail time ones and learned about mechanical/automatic movements (I’d love one instead of a quartz one) and then I saw these modded seiko ones with the NH35 movement, I thought it would be cool to get an homage to a Rolex day date one, i really like the steel jubilee? Bracelet and fluted bezels, as you can tell I’m very new to the world of watches but just wanted to ask for some advice, are these seiko mods I find on Vinted safe to buy? They’re between 120 and 200 euro usually and I understand that their not original seikos etc but I don’t really care as long as the components are good quality and the movement is legit. I’m not looking for it to hold its value, I have my investments elsewhere I would just like a nice looking watch with nice quality steel and sapphire crystal components.
