Yo TCL, the NXTPAPER is awesome. Now please make a smaller version!

Just received my NXTPAPER 70 Pro, and overall I'd say it's fantastic, especially considering the price-point.

But I'll never use this as an everyday phone simply because it's too large to port around. No phone should be pulling my shorts down when I'm going for a hike!

Seriously though, TCL has clearly found a niche that no other manufactures have and the movement is gaining momentum. Even T-mobile employees were asking me to stop by and show them the phone when I got my hands on one.

So in my opinion, TCL can carve this niche even deeper for themselves by releasing a smaller version. There are virtually no modern smartphones that aren't oversized. So my hunch is, if TCL would consider something like a 5" version of this phone it would sell like crazy.

I've been on the hunt for the most laptop-like device out there, for the sole purpose of long-form writing (typing, that is).

I've narrowed it down to the Tab Ultra C Pro, but of course I waited too long to pull the trigger and cannot find one, other than used machines on eBay which I'm hesitant to buy.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find one (with the keyboard attachment), or, another suggestion for something similar?

Whatever it is, it must function like a clamshell laptop so I can toss it in my hiking pack and yank it out for quick stints.

Thank you to this community for tuning me in!

It started with a search on the internet about why my vision was going straight downhill with accompanying headaches over the past year since I began using an iPhone 16 Pro.

That led me to this community, which has provided me with a wealth of education on the subject of PWM and more. I cannot express how thankful I am to have found you. While I knew something was up with that damn phone, without understanding PWM I probably would have tried a number of other phones and suffered the same result.

Instead, with the problem quickly diagnosed (well, after a year of suffering) I knew to switch back to LCD, specifically the iPhone SE 2022 (for everyday use) + a TCL NXTPaper 70 Pro (for home use, since this thing is way to big to carry around).

Immediately, upon switching to the iPhone SE I felt relief. The headaches are gone, and my vision appears to be slowly recalibrating.

So again, thank you to all the participants who are providing detailed information, testing, and experiences around this issue, you are truly making a difference.

Oh and also, a special mention to Apple, Google, and Samsung: Go fuck yourselves.
