Reduce uncertainty and anxiety of developing eye complications in future

I have a myopia of -7 and -1.5 cylinder in both eyes. As a 19-year-old with a slim build, I am interested in weight training to build muscle. However, I have been advised against it due to concerns that high myopia could lead to eye damage.

Furthermore, I experience difficulties with night driving, and my reaction time is impaired as a result. Since childhood, I have been unable to participate in outdoor sports due to the risk of retinal detachment from potential impacts to the face.

My primary concern is to preserve my eyesight throughout my life, preventing any deterioration or damage. While I do not object to wearing glasses, I am determined to avoid complications such as tears, detachments, or glaucoma.
