How to model being laid off and starting retirement early

My base plan is to retire at 55 with a DB pension. How do I model a scenario where I get laid off at 50 and have to take a reduced DB pension? I don’t think I want to change this in Discovery or else it will change my base plan. Do I need to use overrides in the table and if so, which columns am I overriding to show loss of employment income 5 years earlier and a reduced DB pension? Thanks!

Tax implications of expenses types, i.e. childcare costs

I’m new to the platform and I’m adding my expenses. I have pet expenses that I’ve added under childcare costs because there isn’t any other category for it and I didn’t want to just use miscellaneous. I don’t have any real child care expenses so it seems like it would be fine to substitute that category but then I got to thinking, what if the program gives you child expense deductions when calculating your future taxes, I’d be having an overly optimistic plan. Does the child care expenses line have any tax impact and are there any other expense lines I need to be careful using for other purposes such as Doctor/Dentist/Specialist visits. Can I use that for cosmetic medical expenses that I aren’t tax deductible or does that row assume you can get medical expense deductions on your income taxes for costs in that row?
Thanks in advance.
