Movie deluxe hair
At least on the Collector’s edition head, you can swap in any of the hair pieces from the recent Supergirl figures.
First Pic shows (from left to right): the OG hair, the regular movie hair, the deluxe movie hair and the CW TV hair.
Personally I like the CW TV hair the best but the deluxe movie hair is great too. The regular movie hair fits but is too big.
Which one do you like the best?
Grant Morrison’s JLA (late 90s / early 00s). The Return of the Seven! Had some of the best storylines, like Rock of Ages and Earth 2.
Biggest miss here is Barda, which I hope we get before the year is over. Zauriel would be nice too but he’s a little obscure. But hey, we got Aztek so anything can happen.
What was your favorite JL line-up?
The Keith Giffen Era (late 80s early 90s): One Punch! Blue & Gold! Fire & Ice! Bwa-ha-ha!
The biggest miss here is Metamorpho, who was a major character in this period, especially in JLE. We have modern versions of most of the other characters, except for Dr Light. Lots of random and minor characters could be added though, Like General Glory, G’nort and era specific costumes (jumpsuit Black Canary, OG/Apocalypse Rocket Red, skimpy outfits for Fire and Ice - pipe dreams!)
Amazing we got as much a we did.
Almost there. Still need classic Ollie, with a boxing glove arrow please.
He’s a bit short but swapping in a longer neck peg does wonders, along with folding his collar up for that classic look. Comparison between old and new neck pegs in the second pic.
Saturn Girl is amazing as is the plat Cosmic Boy. I upgraded the old plat Lightning Lad with a proper belt by sacrificing another plat Cosmic Boy (gold logo on the plat, silver logo on the regular)
Hope we get more before it’s all over but happy we got these three at least.
CW TV version is the clear winner here with an excellent likeness and all the hand options you could ever want. Love the heat vision head.
The regular movie figure has the best head sculpt and hair. The deluxe movie version only has the wired cape going for it along with baby Krypto and a sword. Neither version has a definite hand selection. You actually need both regular and deluxe if you want a matching set of fist hands. The best bet here is putting the regular head on the movie body to get the wired cape.
The Walmart exclusive jacket version is super fun but doesn’t come with much, just the Krypto from last years movie Superman. At least it has the superior head and hair from the regular version.
I did a hard pass on Movie Lobo and Krem.
What did you all think of these figures?
Last WH40K figure I was missing. More readily available on eBay these days.
Not straight re-releases, less accessories (e.g., no shield or axe for Wonder Woman).
