2 weeks ago, I performed several deep tissue massages and woke up the next morning in extreme pain in my lower cervical/upper thoracic spine area and upper back and neck area. It’s much better but I’m still in pain and experiencing numbness and tingling. I’m getting it checked out and the receptionist asked if it happened at work and if so, then I need to go through workmen’s comp. I don’t think this is something that can be proven to have happened at work so I’m not sure if that’s the route I should take. I am not familiar with workman’s comp at all. Has anyone dealt with this? I’m in MA if that’s relevant. Thanks!

I am curious if anyone knows what the laws and regulations in Massachusetts surrounding laundering are? I only see that linens must be laundered but no specifics on temperature, etc. Obviously, common sense dictates that linens should be washed in hot water, however, my employer has shut off the hot water to the washers. I want to be able to show her this is not recommended/illegal. We’re also offer hair and esthetician services.

I am located in MA but any advice is helpful. I have emailed my state massage therapy board but figured I’d start a discussion for anyone that might be in the same boat or looking for the same information.
