I bought the g14 2025 5070ti model about a month ago but I've been having a whole lot of bsod crashes.

so I did some digging and trouble shooting but the past month of owning this laptop has been hell. everyday I'd get hit with a bsod with the nvlddmkm.sys error. it's been happening since day 2 of owning but not too frequently. I've been noticing it more and more tho.

I'm on balanced mode, stock settings tried ddu and an older driver as well as the latest drivers changing to power mode in Nvidia app adjust scaling settings I'm using a cooling pad + original charger

the crash would happen randomly, from waking to loading a game to browsing the web

Update: It's very important that you attempt this method with the forks of cross point that explicitly support SD card flashing like the one in this post. if you flash your X3 with outdated X4 firmware there's absolutely no way to recover from that. double check the bin file you download is compatible!!

if anyone wants to flash your locked X3, there's a working method via SD card rn. there's a Korean fork that figured out the OEM flashing method for X3s. unfortunately the button combo for the X4 hasn't been found yet.

from the website:

1. First-time X3 users (OEM firmware state with no USB connection) 1. Download firmware.bin below 2. Copy the file to the SD card root folder and rename it to update.bin 3. Insert the SD card into the device 4. Press and hold the left side button while pressing and holding the power button to boot 5. The OEM bootloader will automatically recognize update.bin and flash it

to flash back to stock: 3. Roll back to OEM (Store) firmware X3 OEM Firmware Download: https://domestic-static-file.oss-cn-hangzhou.aliyuncs.com/admin_uploads/firmware/202604/27/751e134f-22b1-4a00-bbfa-0942593ef867/V5.4.3-X3-CH-PROD-0425_160909.bin Copy to a suitable location on the SD card Settings → System → Update SD Card Firmware → Select the appropriate firmware

tested on my own locked device, language switching and custom fonts work too :)

I can't seem to connect my x3 to flash crosspoint. all my attempts end up with my laptop saying device unrecognized, the hardware id also only shows USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE

troubleshooting steps: -restarting laptop -turned off core isolation -turned off USB selective suspend -cleaned the pins -used the original cable and a different cable -used chrome and edge -tried 2 different laptops to connect the device -tried resetting + taking out the SD card -tried entering download mode manually -tried using zadig to force winusb drivers(failed)
