I was watching Cape Fear (1962) and noticed in the one scene where Cady is slowly walking towards Bowden’s daughter and she starts running and he’s just walking … so slowly. Reminded me a lot of the Michael Myers walk. Got me thinking - was the iconic Michael Myers slow chase inspired by Cape Fear or maybe an earlier film? Who did the slow walk (chase?) first? I’m sure there’s more movies from an earlier time I just can’t find anything my brief search on reddit lol
