I am currently a second-year undergraduate student at IIT Roorkee in the Chemical Engineering branch. I am posting here to connect with seniors and experienced aspirants for some genuine guidance.
To be honest, I have always wanted to pursue UPSC. I only cleared JEE Mains to build my mental caliber and secure a solid backup plan. Now, I want to give my absolute best to Civil Services and start my preparation early.
I have a deep interest in Social Studies (SST) and even won medals at the zonal level back in school, though it has been a long time since I have been in touch with the subject.
Since I am in my second year, I want to know how to manage my time properly. How should I start my preparation at this stage, and what would be the best approach for me?

Regarding physics, After properly completing Allen modules in Physics, what’s the best thing to do next? I know modules themselves are more than enough for most people, and honestly there isn’t enough time to solve every big book out there.
So after modules, analysis, • some specific book/resource, or just keep strengthening modules only?
Basically I don’t wanna fall into the “collecting resources” trap, but at the same time I feel like I should do something beyond just finishing modules so that edge mile kuch .
