I recently received a favorable decision, after two long years, from the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta) regarding a defective used car bought from K-Auto. The board recommended a full cancellation of the sale (kaupan purku), refund of payments made, compensation for repair expenses, and coverage of vehicle running costs.
I sent a polite email to K-Auto’s central customer service/management (three days ago) asking how we should proceed with the settlement payout and vehicle retrieval. The finance company responded almost immediately to confirm they are waiting on K-Auto to finalize things, but K-Auto hasn't acknowledged the email or provided a timeline yet.

- How long do their corporate or legal departments usually take to process the decision and execute the payout?
- Do major dealerships generally follow the board's recommendation without needing further enforcement steps through the District Court (käräjäoikeus)?
