Good Deal on Speakers?

Good Deal on Speakers?

Still searching for a pair of main speakers, preferably floor standing. I found these on Ebay and I'm wondering if they're any good for the price.

First Real Purchase (Speakers)

I want to be the blown-away guy.

"Budget" Comfortably, I would want to spend around $1200, but if I had to squeeze blood from my veins, I could push out to around $1800.

"Location" USA Midwest-based. CST BABY.

I am looking for floor-standing speakers and, if funds are available, an amplifier to run them in addition to playing movies. I want something that will help me with bowel movements if the need arises. I want it to punch me in the nuts and crush the air out of my lungs, but not in a 5-dollar hot-n-ready kind of way. (see below for the hodgepodge of gear I have amassed)

The listening distance sweet spot will be at a maximum distance of about 12ft, but I am looking for wide dispersion to hear the music well throughout the room and over-optimistically throughout the entire house. Room size is 12ftx21ft with an 8ft mantle fireplace wedged into one of the corners, or the same size room upstairs sans fireplace. It'll likely migrate as I make more purchases.

I have an Aiwa CX-NDS15 AV receiver that claims to drive at 155W (which I highly doubt, but this system was my dad's and it has uber nostalgia factor), an MCS 683-2255A integrated amp that I think runs 100W, and a Pioneer VSX-07TX AV receiver also at 100W. I also have a Yamaha YST-SW45 subwoofer that I love dearly; ideally, it would have a friend/big brother, but I am limited to a 2.1 setup for a while. There are also a couple of turntables (a JVC and an MCS ((part of some MCS set, there's an EQ, radio tuner, tape deck, and pair of speakers)) that will probably be hooked up eventually.

If you couldn't tell any time someone had electronics they no longer wanted, I said yes. Better to maybe get something good than find out "oh oops I just passed up on some [[insert mind-numbingly stellar component that also sucks your dick here]]."

Ideally, I would play my music through my phone or computer if I could figure out a good way to input it. I have a rather crappy RCA to Type-C cord I am using currently, but I can hear the difference in quality between that and other sources. I have vinyl, CDs, and cassettes, which I can currently cover between the three different "amps," but it would be nice to figure out something to cover all my bases in one place. Speakers first though.

I want this system to be capable of both music and movies. The focus is currently getting solid main speakers that will carry me for a long time. If I have extra to spare, then the rest can catch up. I listen to a wide variety of music, but will say that a majority of the time it has been bass-heavy. I really love that sub. I want to see the water in my glass vibrate like there's a T. rex outside. I want my neighbors to hate me. Fuck 'em.

A few recent bops I've put on to test what I have on hand:

-  "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" The Slits The Slits - I Heard It Through The Grapevine (HQ)
- "Waitin' for the Bus" ZZ Top Waitin' for the Bus (2006 Remaster)
- "Big Take Over" Bad Brains Big Take Over
- "Girls That Smoke Gross Me Out To The Max" Tower of Rome TOWER OF ROME - Girls That Smoke Gross Me Out To The Max
- "Golden Years" David Bowie Golden Years (2016 Remaster)

Used is just fine; all of my current equipment is hand-me-downs. This would be my first real purchase in the audio world, hence coming here for advice. If there is something I am overlooking, I would be glad to hear it. Thanks.
