Beginner here and I need help

I’m hitting the ball like a bullet along the ground. When I practice at home, my shots have a good trajectory, but on the golf course, almost every shot comes out low and stays close to the ground, regardless of which iron I use.
I practice at home using a hitting mat, so I’m not sure what changes when I’m on the course.
Has anyone experienced this before, and what did you do to fix it?
I was playing today with a 75 years old who was hitting the ball beautifully he kept telling me he have a good contact with the ball and don’t worry it will come.
I had 3 lessons before and during the lessons I hit the ball good after the lesson when I go to the course I’m back to these flat ball with no trajectory.

Grip trainer

Has anyone tried a grip trainer? And does it work?

I’m a beginner, having started about eight months ago. I’ve already had three lessons but my improvement is lacking despite practising almost daily in my backyard and attending the range.

Six weeks ago I began going to the course playing nine holes after I thought that I have enough lessons and practice to go to the course in a regular basis and I played about 6 games once a week scoring between 58 and 53.  Despite my lessons and practice, I still feel quite poor.

My low balls are a problem and I can’t even hit the driver if it’s my life depended on it . I feel stuck. Practising is good but during lessons I perform well but don’t translate that to the course.

Consequently, I keep changing my swing at the range and then hit the ball like I’ve never held a club before. For example, I spent the past two weeks working on my right shoulder, hip movement and weight shifting and after a decent game last week scoring 54 6 strokes better than the week before but today at the range I was terrible, unable to hit my 7 iron past 100 metres.

Can anyone offer some advice to help me stay positive, be consistent and transfer my range practice to the course?
