($500) for our DIY bouquets and Costco + Walmart floral decor

We spent about $19k total for our entire wedding with about 75 guests in May of this year! Very happy with how everything turned out.

Less than $500 spent on all flower arrangements! Super proud of what we were able to put together. I bought artificial flowers from all sorts of places but the best ones came from craft stores, trialed and erred many times but trusted the process lol. (Around $175 including flowers I didn’t use and ribbon, tape, etc.)

Two orders of the mountain bouquets pack from Costco for table florals (about $220), then random potted flowers that we got on sale the day before the wedding from Walmart for aisle/then head table decor (about $100). We saved every glass bottle we had over the year prior to the wedding, soaked and cleaned them, and used them as mismatched centerpiece vases. We considered this essentially free since they were from things we were going to buy anyway lol.

Spider distribution system got me again.

I have accidentally fallen into being a spider person. A little over two years ago I found an injured black widow on my front porch and I decided to try and nurse her back to health. I ended up having her for two entire years and she recently passed this February.

Can you imagine my surprise when this little lady was trapped inside a bedroom window and I just happened to see her?! I have no clue how she even got in there, but she was obviously exhausted and hungry. So I did what any person would do and built her a wonderful bioactive enclosure and fed her a little bitty cricket. She has eaten, built her hammock, and is working on an extensive web network in her home. She is very curious and interested in me, which is so cool!

I may still end up releasing her once she’s strong enough, but I will definitely enjoy the time I have with her. Although I will say she seems to be enjoying captivity lol.
