Hi all

Wondering if anyone has any experience of late with Dublin priced extensions - looking at a builders finish - only need 1st fix plumbing, electrics and french doors along with windows and velux in.

Can do tiling, floors, internal doors etc meself as handy enough. Will be boxing off a bathroom in the extension meself and get plumber mate to do a wee nixer for me (easy enough - build stud wall, PIR plasterboard, tape and join, once pipes are there)

I’m figuring 4k a sq metre for a simple extension. Four walls square, nothing awkward. Hearing horror stories though of people being charged 6.5k a square metre!!!! Anyone any experience/insight?

Let’s imagine Mary Lou goes over this. Park the party allegiance and bias - we get it soft left and FFGers you would never vote Sinn Fein.

Serious discussion time here. Who do people across different ideologies see as Sinn Féin’s best chance of recovering from their current situation and leading the party into next general election?

FWIW I see Dara Calleary as Fianna Fail’s best option for example.
