Bouanga & Son's position issues

During the press, Bouanga openly says him and Sonny can’t play the way they did last year because the system has changed.Now he’s forced deeper, Sonny is pushed higher, and yet in moments where he has the ball… he’s still looking for him.

This clearly shows there is a dysfunction in the way players are told to position. The way they are "coached" is not working.

Also, even though Son is placed "higher", if you see his heat maps from last year and this year, you can see that Son is playing way deeper as a midfielder to create chances.

We need to position our attackers in a way where they can provide for each other and use their momentum together like they did last year.

We are at a point where the player is beginning to openly speak about the dysfunction of the way they are being played..

There is only one fraction that has changed from then and now. What could possibly be the reason for this to not be the urgent matter to be fixed???
