Need to reinstate license but dont have court date yet
Got a DUI in Los Angeles with my work truck which is registered in AZ, my license is a CA license. Requested the DMV hearing within 10 days like everyone says to do, hearing date came earlier than expected and lost, DMV suspended my license already, showed up to court for my date and the clerk told me the DA hadn't processed my case yet. DMV gave me options on reinstating a restricted license by installing IID, showing sr-22, enroll in 3 months classes, and $125 fee.
Here are my questions:
If I complete these items and get a restricted license, I know the court will probably maybe suspend my license once more but will they request these same items all over again? Should I just wait until my court ruling?
Also I have another vehicle registered in CA, would I be required to install an IID in that vehicle as well or just the vehicle i plan on driving?
For insurance with a sr22, does the make and model matter? example-an older honda civic vs newer bmw policy. Will the sr22 automatically trigger a huge spike in my premiums regarless of the vehicle?
