Great college 10/10 would pay 🫩

Great college 10/10 would pay 🫩

Just got back from our Sunday outing (movie with friends) and I am genuinely exhausted and angry right now so bear with me.

We came back to college, walked through the main gate, and asked for the electric vehicle to get to the hostels. Simple request. We're tired. We just want to reach our rooms.

The watchman tells us EV is not allowed for outings.

I'm sorry. WHATT??????

Let me take you back to admission day. Parents sitting there, listening to the college pitch. One of the selling points? Your son doesn't have to walk, we have EVs for transport within campus. My family paid lakhs LAKHS in fees partly trusting that this college takes basic student comfort seriously.

And today, after a full day out, legs tired, just wanting to reach the hostel we're told to walk because we went on an outing?

What kind of rule is this? What is the logic? Punish students for going out on a Sunday by making them walk back to their rooms? Is this a comfort facility or a reward system?

I genuinely stood there for a second just processing that sentence.

We didn't just accept it. We called the hostel manager. Came and talked to us. Asked if we had luggage we said yes. And then what? The watchman and the driver just kept talking to someone on the side, someone who was being completely adamant. Blanket answer. EV not allowed. That's it. No explanation. No flexibility. Nothing.

We stood there arguing for something so basic. Just. An. EV. Ride. To. The. Hostel.

I'm not asking for a five star hotel experience. I'm asking for a vehicle that already EXISTS on this campus, that was PROMISED to us, to take me from the gate to my room after a long day.

want to know am I missing something here? Is there a rule I wasn't aware of? Because if there's a valid reason, someone please explain it. But if there isn't... can we at least talk about this as a community? Because this feels wrong.

And before anyone says anything this is NOT about the ev thing. Please understand that. I don't care about the EV specifically. What I care about is that we had to stand there, exhausted after a full day, and BEG and ARGUE for 15 whole minutes for something so basic. The watchman was stubborn. We called the hostel manager.asked if we had luggage, we said yes and still nothing. The driver and watchman were talking to someone who just kept saying no. Blanket no. No reason. No flexibility. Just no.

Anyone else faced this? What do you think?

Mann im tired with this shit college

I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (Ryzen 7, 24GB RAM) about 10 months ago for around ₹80K + ₹4K for ADP, and it’s already turning into a nightmare. About a month back, I started facing multiple issues battery stuck at 0% and not charging, overheating even in AC conditions, and touchpad malfunctioning. Right before visiting the store, the battery issue temporarily “fixed” itself, but the backup became terrible. The store redirected me to an authorized service center, where they asked me to leave the laptop for 15 days, which I couldn’t do since I’m a college student with project deadlines. They then gave me the Premium Care number for doorstep service.

A Lenovo support person ran diagnostics remotely the touchpad started working again, but when I raised concerns about battery drain and heating, I was told 60°C is “normal” even under AC, which honestly sounds unreasonable. Now, after a month, the same battery issue has returned stuck at 0% again and not charging at all. I went back to the store, got referred to another authorized service center, and again they’re asking for 15 days. I requested doorstep service again because I simply can’t afford downtime, but this time they just closed the request without resolving anything. When I called support, another rep said the issue was “already resolved,” which is completely false.

At this point, after multiple unresolved complaints and repeated service failures, I am formally requesting a full unit replacement instead of further repairs, as I no longer have confidence in this device. I’m stuck in a loop store service center support no actual fix and it feels like this is being dragged out. Has anyone successfully pushed for a replacement in a case like this? What’s the best way to escalate this with Lenovo in India?

Please help me out guys 😭😭
